Hello,
There are many flaws that are possible within secure architectures. In this discussion, I will describe three of the most common flaws found in secure architectures.
One flaw that is common, is too many ports open on the firewall. This allows more ways for bad actors to enter your system/network through unused or ports that do not need to be opened. Most of this risk can be mitigated by using a proxy to keep your main device from being compromised.
Another flaw is not updating or maintaining security protocols and measures. Over time, threats and bad actors' methods change and become more advanced so it is very important to constantly update security and protocols.
In my opinion, another overlooked flaw is unsafe downloads. Applications and files can disguise themselves as legit apps (Trojans) and infect your system. Unsafe downloads can cause harm and damage to your system and allow for other malicious content to access or modify important settings.
It is important to continually update security, verify downloads and close any unused ports on your firewall. One hundred percent security is not possible but making the process of obtaining the target more costly than the target itself, is.
Best Regards,
Devin P.
